Puzzle Swap

A puzzle swap will take place Friday, March 20 in the SVRCS gym lobby, 236 E. Main St., Loganton, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring a puzzle, complete without missing pieces and side taped shut. You can bring multiple puzzles to swap for an equal number of puzzles.

St. Paul Food Pantry

St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. No documentation is required. You may call the church at 570-748-7932 or 570-726-7460. People may call these numbers at any time for any type of assistance they may need.

Old Photos

The Express community newspaper would like to feature local photos in our Old Photo Album each Saturday. If you have old photos of people, places or happenings that you’d like to share, please scan and email them to news@lockhaven.com along with your contact name/phone so we can obtain additional information from you about the photo. Or, stop by The Express office in Lock Haven with your old photos for us to scan and make some notes about the photos.

New Hope Fellowship Room

New Hope Fellowship has a Fellowship Corner Room at its church at 6436 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall. The Fellowship Corner Room is available for your parties, receptions, showers and other small gathering events. The room will seat 60-70 comfortably and offers tables, cushioned chairs, stoves, microwaves, a refrigerator and plenty of counter space and outside parking. Monetary donations are appreciated but are not required for you to use the Fellowship Corner Room. Contact New Hope Fellowship at 570-755-1450 for info.

JS Elks

The Jersey Shore Elks #1057 restaurant is open to the public! Come try the great food prepared by Two Fired Up Guys. They offer more than your typical bar foods; burgers, sandwiches, dinners, salads, wings and much more. Check them out on Facebook for the full menu and daily specials such as Wing Night Wednesday. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 2 p.m.-8 p.m. Closed Tuesday and Sunday.

Seeking sobriety

Seeking Sobriety, a local AA meeting, meets Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 112 E. Main St., Lock Haven. Enter through the door at the end of a walkway on the right of the church. The open meeting features rotating topics with a focus on tools and a mindset for getting and staying sober.
