The Clinton County Board of Commissioners unanimously proclaimed March 2026 as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. Accepting the proclamation was Stephen Shope on behalf of the Pennsylvania Treasury Department and Special Olympics athletes Jesse Simcox and Ron Smith. Shope noted the Pennsylvania Treasury has a statewide partnership with the Special Olympics and was thrilled to have Simcox and Smith with him. “We’re so grateful that you take the time out of your day to accommodate this every year,” Shope said.
