William P. Kellerman Memorial Scholarship Recital set for March 15
LOCK HAVEN — Current and former members of the Keystone Central School District Music Department faculty will, once again, come together to present the William P. Kellerman Memorial Scholarship Recital. The recital will be held on Sunday, March 15, at 2 p.m., at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lock Haven. There will be a reception with complimentary light refreshments afterward.
The recital is held to support a scholarship in memory of William P. Kellerman. Bill was an outstanding student and musician in the Keystone Central School District. After graduating from Bald Eagle Nittany High School, he touched many lives as a teacher and a performing musician. He was the son of Mr. and the late Mrs. Paul Kellerman, Jr., and the Music Department is honored to remember Bill by providing students from Central Mountain and Bucktail High Schools with a scholarship opportunity to further their education and help them attain their goals.
Expected performance numbers include a few selections for mixed choir, solos for trumpet, trombone and flute, a few instrumental duets and an instrumental trio. There will also be the traditional “fun” piece, for those looking forward to a lighter selection, and this year, we are honored to be joined by Paul Petretta, a music education student at Penn State University and the nephew of Bill Kellerman.
Anyone wishing to donate may do so by sending contributions to: Keystone Central Foundation, P.O. Box 565, Lock Haven, PA 17745. Checks should be made payable to “Keystone Central Foundation.” Please include “William P. Kellerman Scholarship Fund” on the memo line.
