Nittany MinitMart is excited to launch its seventh annual Fuel the Cause Fire Company Fundraiser, running now through June 1. The campaign raises critical funds for 42 volunteer fire companies across Central and Northern Pennsylvania, helping them continue to protect the communities they serve.

Volunteer firefighters play a vital role in protecting their communities and showing up for their neighbors when needed most. With volunteers and donations on the decline for many companies, many do so while facing funding and operational challenges. Fuel the Cause helps ensure they have the equipment, training and resources necessary to continue their work.

During the fundraiser, Nittany MinitMart and Pennsylvania Skill will each donate one cent per gallon of gas sold in April and May to the 42 local fire companies that serve Nittany’s 28 stores. Plus, partners like Jack Link’s, Coke, Pepsi, Red Bull, Hershey’s, Herr’s, CINTAS, Seneca, Brakebush, Galliker’s and Nittany Energy will also contribute to the cause.

Customers can support the campaign by getting fuel at any Nittany MinitMart, rounding up their purchases, donating in store and ordering from the limited-time Firehouse Foods menu.

“At Nittany MinitMart, we’re proud to support the volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to keeping our communities safe,” said Nicole Masullo, Senior Vice President of Nittany MinitMart. “These are the people who show up on our hardest days. Fuel the Cause is our way of showing up for them.”

Since 2020, Fuel the Cause has raised over $700,000 to support area volunteer fire companies, helping fund essential equipment, tools and training that keep communities safe. “We’re so thankful to see how our customers and vendors turn out every year to help us give back to our local heroes,” Masullo says.
