Wayne Township announces its America250PA events

McELHATTAN — In recognition of our nation’s 250th birthday, Wayne Township is planning several events for the weekend of May 29-31. The supervisors are funding the weekend and have tasked the recreation committee with planning events that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities. BELLEFONTE — The Centre County Conservation District is now accepting applications for its Soil Health Scholarship. The Conservation District helps the local community develop and strengthen a sustainable relationship with its natural resources. True to that aim, the Centre County Conservation District Soil Health Scholarship provides financial assistance — $1,000 — to a graduating senior attending a Centre County high school who plans to pursue a degree in Agriculture, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or a related field with an interest in soil health.
