Friends of the Bald Eagle Valley Trail hold annual banquet

LOCK HAVEN — The Friends of the Bald Eagle Valley Trail (BEVT) held their annual banquet on Jan. 13 at the Village in Lock Haven with 34 people in attendance. Wayne McCollough, past president and one of the initial founders of the group, was honored with an Appreciation Award for his outstanding commitment, contributions, service, leadership and passion in helping create and maintain the trail. He has served as president since its creation in 2019. Dave Calhoun, a Wayne Township Supervisor, was also awarded the 2025 “Bald Eagle Valley Friend of the Year Award” for his ongoing ...

Clinton County Community Assembly to hold cook-off and baked goods sale; sign-ups close Jan. 26

LOCK HAVEN — The Clinton County Community Assembly will be holding a soup/chili cook-off and bake sale on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 11 a.m to 1 p.m., in Triangle Park. The assembly was created by area citizens in November during the federal government shutdown to provide assistance to food insecure individuals in the area. The group holds a pop-up pantry each Sunday from 12 to 2 p.m. The pantry is held in council chambers at Lock Haven City Hall, 20 E.
