AIDS Resource expands reproductive health access with free ovulation kits
WILLIAMSPORT — AIDS Resource, a leading advocate for healthy equity, is expanding its commitment to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health by offering free ovulation prediction kits to community members.
The initiative aims to increase access to reproductive health tools for those who may face financial, geographic or systemic barriers to care. Ovulation kits can help people better understand their bodies, support family planning goals and make informed decisions about their sexual health.
“For many in our community, access to basic reproductive health supplies is not a given,” said Kirsten Burkhart, executive director. “At AIDS Resource, we believe sexual health is holistic. Whether someone is preventing pregnancy, trying to conceive or simply learning more about their cycle, they deserve accurate information and accessible tools.”
The initiative is available to all Pennsylvania residents, regardless of income, insurance status or immigration status. Free products will be distributed at AIDS Resource offices, 500 W. 3rd St., Williamsport and 300 S. Allen St., Suite 300A, State College. Individuals seeking these products can simply stop by the office during regular business hours; no appointment is required.
This initiative aligns with AIDS Resource’s broader mission to promote health equity and reduce disparities in access to healthcare. By offering these products for free, the organization aims to address systemic barriers and improve outcomes for individuals in underserved communities. The ovulation kit giveaway complements AIDS Resource’s existing reproductive health support, including free condoms, free OTC birth control pills, free pregnancy tests and free Plan B. AIDS Resource is committed to confidentiality and the dignity of all program participants. All services are offered in a judgment-free and supportive environment.
