LOCK HAVEN — The historic barn located at 652 Island Road has been a magical, dream-come-true wedding and reception site for nine years. The recently added Liberty Wedding Chapel, directly across the street from the barn, is now available for those who prefer a church wedding. One can have a wedding ceremony at the chapel and a reception across the street at our historic barn!
The 4,800 square foot barn was constructed in 1900 by craftsmen of the day. Monstrous beams, both in diameter and length, provide the framework for the open space that can house up to 250 guests. The weathered barn boards provide the perfect rustic juxtaposition to a formal affair. The building is surrounded entirely by acres of crops and the doors can be opened to reveal the mountain views. Included is the use of the bridal changing suite and lounge located in the Liberty Wedding Chapel.
The chapel is conveniently located directly across from the barn on the Island Road and features a traditional sanctuary that may be rented as a primary wedding site or may be utilized in case of inclement weather. A standard pew arrangement seats over 100 guests. The “Liberty” Chapel is thus named due to its location, which was historically known as the town of Liberty.
What’s included in the 1900 Red Barn standard package venue rental? Six full days of access to decorate for the event; a 4,800 square foot main floor large enough to hold 250 guests including a dance floor; tables and chairs for 100 guests; two handicapped accessible restrooms; doors can be opened to reveal farmland and mountains; acres of land for a cocktail hour or a wedding ceremony; use of the air-conditioned bridal changing area and lounge in the Liberty Wedding Chapel with the option to rent the sanctuary.
