LOCK HAVEN — Looking to get into a tabletop or card game? White Knight’s Game Room in the Haven has you covered.

The store, located at 110 E. Main St. in downtown Lock Haven, stocks a wide range of products such as Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic the Gathering cards, a variety of table top and board games, figurines, plushies and much more.

Opened in 2022 by Alex Di Costanzo, White Knight’s Game Room in the Haven is the second White Knight’s location — with the first, owned by Erik and Kathryn Guthrie, located in the Pajama Factory in Williamsport.

The front portion of the store is outfitted with a large amount of shelves, each filled to the brim with a variety of products, from Magic: The Gathering booster packs, expansions and more; Yu-Gi-Oh; the ever-popular Pokemon cards and accessories; gaming mats and card sleeves; puzzles; board games; Dungeons and Dragons products; real-life armor pieces; plushies and much more.

Since opening, Di Costanzo continues to grow the business — particularly with what it provides in its gaming space in the back of the store.

White Knight’s offers both the public gaming space and a private room for customers to utilize.

In the public space, Di Costanzo offers a variety of events — the most popular of which is a Pokemon night.

“I might need a second day because of the turn out,” Di Costanzo said.

Pokemon night takes place on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and offers the chance for beginners to learn how to play and a community for those of all skill levels to participate.

“Parents will come down on that night with their kids and learn how the game works,” he said.

Di Costanzo noted Pokemon is one of the more popular card games at White Knight’s, adding he’s begun doing buy, sell and trade for unique and rare cards. Those cards can be seen in a glass display case at the sales counter.

Outside of Pokemon, White Knight’s also has a Magic: The Gathering night on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and Sundays beginning at 2 p.m. This game also brings in a good turnout, he said.

Also on Sundays are One Piece days that begin at 2 p.m. and a Yu Gi Oh night on Fridays beginning at 5:30 p.m.

For those who aren’t necessarily interested in card games, White Knight’s also holds a board game night on Tuesdays beginning at 5:30 p.m.

In the summer, Di Costanzo said he plans to hold board game demonstrations for a variety of tabletop games.

“We can talk about new games coming and run through some of the games that are already available,” he said.

The White Knight’s Game Room is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12 to 8 p.m.
