LH woman faces child porn charges
LOCK HAVEN — A 25-year-old Lock Haven woman was arrested and charged with multiple felonies regarding child pornography.
Maggie Leigh Strouse faces third degree felony charges for two counts of child pornography, two counts of dissemination of photo/film of child sex acts and criminal use of a communication facility following an investigation by Special Agent Gabriel Fabian of the state Attorney General’s office.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the Delaware County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received information about suspicious activity from a service provider and social media company.
The provider reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on Oct. 16, 2023, that “someone was using their internet services to publicly post images of child exploitation information via the internet.”
The provider specifically took note of an account — listed as Target Account 1 — which had uploaded content to their platform that violated its terms and conditions.
The report was reviewed by Fabian, who said the images found depicted a prepubescent child and it was “an apparent and clear depiction of child pornography.”
A search warrant was issued for Target Account 1 that showed numerous conversations with other users, where “sexual attraction to children was professed.”
Included in this search was alleged communication with Target Account 1 and Strouse.
“In their conversation, Target 1 and Strouse discuss being interested in ‘young stuff,’ ‘no limits,’ ‘really young ages,’ ‘lil experience'” and others.
According to court documents, Strouse stated she would sell nude images, and conversations outlined that she sent images or videos of herself at ages 12, 13 and 15.
Strouse allegedly wrote, “I was so small hahaha” and “those are really illegal and hidden.”
Those videos were then sold to the Target Account 1.
During conversations between the two, Target Account 1 told Strouse they sexually abuse a minor child, at which point Strouse asked if they have any sexual abuse of the minor.
According to court documents, Target Account 1 and Strouse exchanged photos/videos through an “end-to-end encrypted chat communication platform.”
During the investigation, it was also determined Strouse previously underwent state and federal background checks for childcare clearances.
Fabian’s investigation noted Strouse was employed with an organization which oversees the care of children.
Strouse was arrested and arraigned before District Judge Frank Mills and initially housed at the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $150,000 bail.
According to updated court records, bail was posted on June 10.
