RVR YMCA promotes Amrom to COO

LOCK HAVEN — The River Valley Regional YMCA has announced the promotion of Corinne Amrom to Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective Jan. 1.
Amrom brings more than 13 years of leadership experience with the River Valley Regional YMCA to her new role. Most recently serving as director of Association Advancement, she has led major association-wide initiatives spanning child care expansion and compliance, school-age and pre-K quality improvement, membership growth strategies, marketing, fundraising and corporate and community partnerships. Her work has consistently focused on strengthening operational systems that support both the Y mission and long-term financial sustainability.
“This internal transition reflects the strength of our team and our commitment to developing leaders from within,” said Chad Eberhart, CEO of the River Valley Regional YMCA. “Corinne’s leadership, organizational knowledge and people-centered approach position her well to guide our operations as we continue to grow and deepen our impact across the region.”
In her new role, Amrom will oversee branch leadership and daily operations across the association’s six branches, with a focus on consistency, collaboration and continuous improvement. She will support staff development, enhance member experience and help guide strategic priorities — ensuring that every branch delivers a high-quality experience for members, families and staff.
Amrom began her YMCA career as a child care director before advancing into association leadership roles, including executive director at the Jersey Shore Branch and later district executive director. She played a key role on the transition team that guided the merger of the Lock Haven Branch into the River Valley Regional YMCA Association and later led the successful capital campaign to reopen the Lock Haven pool — restoring a critical community asset.
In addition to her strategic and operational leadership, Amrom serves as the association’s Praesidium Guardian and Learning Champion, overseeing abuse prevention standards and staff development initiatives to support safety, compliance, and continuous learning.
Prior to joining the Y, Amrom served as an education coordinator at the former Bethune-Douglass Center. She holds a degree in Art Education and teaching certification. Her background as an educator informs her collaborative leadership style, blending creativity, relationship-building, and youth development with operational strategy.
