Sugar Valley Lions honor Students of the Month

LOGANTON — The Sugar Valley Lions Club honored area Students of the Month from Sugar Valley Rural Charter School at their recent dinner meeting.
The students are selected by their school administration for their academic achievements, leadership abilities and involvement in community activities. The students were introduced by Brian Stugart, Secondary Administrator of Sugar Valley Rural Charter School, and were given time to tell the Lions members what activities they are involved with at school, the community and their plans for furthering their education after graduation in June.
Students honored for the second semester of the 2025-2026 school year are Jaelynn Walker, Michael Garcia and Benjamin Parker.
Jaelynn, accompanied by her mother, Dena Bierly and grandparents Gene and Lorma Weaver, talked about her current activities and plans to attend Penn State University for a degree in Forensic Science.
Michael was accompanied by his parents, Michael and Angela Garcia and his sister, Rosie. Benjamin was accompanied by his parents Larry and Arleen Parker and girlfriend, Bella Hoy.
After graduation, Michael and Benjamin are planning to attend CPI for a career in Heavy Equipment Operation and CDL certification.
