MILL HALL — Clinton County residents gathered early to mark the highly anticipated opening day of trout season, continuing a long-standing community tradition centered around both fishing and the great outdoors.

The day began at the Mill Hall Fire Company, which hosted its 61st Annual Fisherman’s Breakfast from 6-10 a.m. Community members filled the fire hall, enjoying an all-you-can-eat breakfast featuring pancakes and sausage. The event once again served as a cornerstone of opening day, bringing together anglers, families, and local supporters.

Following breakfast, many made their way to nearby waterways, including Fishing Creek and Bald Eagle Creek. Along the banks, fishermen and women lined the water’s edge, casting lines in hopes of a successful start to the season. While some celebrated their first trout catches of the year, others focused on improving personal records and enjoying time outdoors.

Starting at $3.69/week.
