PUC holds hearings regarding proposed UGI increase

LOCK HAVEN — As UGI looks to increase its annual operating revenues for natural gas distribution service by about $99.4 million, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) is holding public hearings for input regarding the proposal. The majority of proposed hearings will be held in-person outside of the area, with two scheduled virtual hearings planned for the coming days. Centre makes donation to local shelter

BELLEFONTE — After Centre County PAWS took in 43 dogs from an apparent animal hoarding situation last month, the Centre County Board of Commissioners approved a $1,000 donation to help offset expenses incurred by the county’s largest animal shelter. PAWS Executive Director Lisa Bahr, who attended this week’s voting meeting, said six dogs surrendered to County Humane Officer Mark Resnak on March 20 were brought to their facility.
