LOCK HAVEN — While the heat and humidity still isn’t as bad as the previous heat wave, it is enough for the National Weather Service to issue a heat advisory, effective today from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. As of Monday afternoon, forecasters were also advising that extending the advisory into Wednesday may be necessary. For today, however, look out for a heat index of between 96-103, as hot and humid conditions take over across the region.
