MILL HALL — This month’s Bald Eagle Township meeting was short and sweet, clocking in at around 20 minutes. One of the points of discussion was the upcoming remodel of Sheetz planned for early September. Township Secretary Marissa Morgan reported that final paperwork for the project is nearly complete. LOCK HAVEN — A Clinton County motorist who killed a father and his unborn child in a wrong-way driving accident has been sentenced to 10 to 20 years in state prison. The sentence imposed Thursday in county court on Dwight L. Meyer, 30, of Lock Haven, was on charges of homicide by vehicle, homicide by vehicle while under the influence and aggravated assault by vehicle. He pleaded guilty in 2025 to those charges plus driving under the influence and six counts of recklessly endangering another person. He was placed on two years’ probation on the endangering charges. BELLEFONTE — As it looks to the future, Bellefonte Borough Council reviewed portions of a proposed Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) plan developed by staff during its work session this week.
