Monday, July 20: — Howard Area Lions Food Bank distribution, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the former Beech Creek Elementary School. Bring a sturdy box and any empty egg cartons you have. Volunteers are asked to help with filling boxes in the basement and getting them up the steps to cars. — Drawing class at Friendship Community Center in Beech Creek. Class is free for those age 12 and older and runs from 4:30-6 p.m. Those who want to learn to draw are invited, as well as those with more experience who would like to learn to enhance their drawing skills and techniques. Lonoconus updates board on first weeks at Keystone

MILL HALL — Keystone Central School District Interim-Superintendent Dr. Alan Lonconus has been busy getting up-to-date after taking on the role in early July. Lonoconus has returned to the district after previously serving in an interim capacity in 2018. He is filling the spot left vacant by Dr. Francis Redmon in late June. At its voting session last week, Lonconus said it’s been a “steep learning curve these last three weeks.” “A lot has changed since I’ve been here in 2018.
