Bail hearing requested for man charged with sexual assault of a woman with an intellectual disability

LOCK HAVEN — Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse has requested a bail hearing take place for a Lock Haven man who faces charges in relation to sexual assault of a woman with an intellectual disability.
William Alfred Willits, III, 40, of Hillside Drive, faces charges filed by Woodward Township Police for rape of a victim with a mental disability, a first degree felony; aggravated indecent assault of a victim with a mental disability, a second degree felony; and sexual assault, a second degree felony.
Willits is accused of a pair of alleged sexual assaults perpetrated in August of 2024 at his residence, according to a release from Strouse’s office.
Police allege that Willits engaged in sexual intercourse on at least two occasions with an 18 year old woman who has a long and documented history of severe intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Willits was previously arraigned and bail was originally set as unsecured, according to the release.
Strouse’s request for a bail hearing was granted and is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 9 in Clinton County Central Court.
