Teen charged with harassment for kicking adult
CENTRE HALL — A 16-year-old boy from Beech Creek was charged with harassment for kicking a 54-year-old woman in the left leg on Feb. 7 at The Meadows in Potter Township, according to state police at Rockview.
Fraudulent bank charge
JULIAN — A 70-year-old Julian woman reported Jan. 29 that her bank card was used to make an unauthorized $76.47 Amazon purchase, according to state police at Rockview.
Car hits shed
MILESBURG — Sharon Cassidy, 65, of Bellefonte, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Feb. 13 after striking a shed along Moose Run Road in Boggs Township, according to state police at Rockview.
Around 7:22 p.m., Cassidy, driving a 2015 Honda CR-V, failed to negotiate a right-hand turn, police said. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a shed approximately 150 yards off the road near Lucas Road.
No injuries in crash
LAMAR — No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident along Interstate 80 West on Feb. 6, state police at Lamar said.
At 1:25 p.m., Dat T. Le, 18, of Wilkes Barre, was traveling at about 60 miles per hour in the left lane near mile marker 175 when his 2026 Honda CRV veered through the right lane and onto the shoulder, striking a snowbank, police said.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage to its front end and was removed from the scene by Tressler’s Towing, police said.
Le was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and was not injured. He was issued a citation in relation to not driving on roadways laned for traffic-single through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office, police said.
Vehicle strikes pole
BEECH CREEK — A 72-year-old Howard woman was not injured after losing control of her 2020 Subaru Forester along state Route 150 on Jan. 28, state police at Lamar said.
Martha L. Hufnagle was traveling on the roadway at about 11:46 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole, police said.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the roadway via a personal tow, police said.
Police cited Hufnagle for driving under the influence following an investigation into the crash, police said.
Charges were filed through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office.
Icy conditions lead to crash
BEECH CREEK — Icy road conditions played a part in a one vehicle crash along Halls Run Road in Beech Creek Township on Feb. 8, state police at Lamar said.
At 8:49 a.m., Nicholas B. Zimmerman, 18, of Murrysville, Pa., was traveling northeast at about 45 miles per hour when he failed to negotiate a left hand curve, losing traction due to icy conditions, police said.
Zimmerman’s 2010 Toyota Tacoma left the roadway and entered a shallow ditch covered in roughly 1 to 2 feet of snow before striking a tree head on, police said.
Zimmerman was wearing his seatbelt and suffered suspected minor injuries, police said. He was transported to UPMC Lock Haven by Citizens Hose, police said.
Zimmerman was cited in relation to driving at safe speeds, police said.
His vehicle was removed from the scene by Martin Motors.
