Child injured in farming accident REBERSBURG — A 3-year-old boy from Miles Township was flown to the hospital after being injured in a farming accident involving a horse-drawn planter, according to state police at Rockview. At 5:07 p.m. May 4, state police were dispatched to 6600 Brush Valley Road in Miles Township to assist EMS with an injured child. The child was treated by local fire and EMS personnel before being flown to Geisinger Danville, where he remains under medical supervision. The investigation remains ongoing, according to police. WILLIAMSPORT — An extension educator known for her contributions to the wine industry in Pennsylvania and beyond was denied promotion for a myriad of reasons unrelated to any diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) or speech issues, Penn State says. LH woman arrested after telling NY man to commit sex acts with infant

A Lock Haven woman was arrested for allegedly telling a New York man to perform sex acts involving an infant and receiving child sex abuse material. Beth Sairs, otherwise known as Beth Young, 41, was arrested by the United States Attorney Jay Clayton, of the Southern District of New York, along with Corey Matthews, 38, of Kent, N.Y. for separate charges related to sexual exploitation of an infant and the receipt and distribution of child pornography.
