State Police warn Pennsylvanians about phone scam impersonating PSP

BELLEFONTE — The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) have received reports of scam phone calls targeting members of the public. These calls appear to originate from official PSP station phone numbers and falsely claim to be a Pennsylvania State Police Lieutenant. The callers attempt to intimidate recipients, insisting that they must pay fines immediately or face legal consequences. DUI alleged LOCK HAVEN — A 43-year-old Lock Haven man may face driving under the influence charges following a traffic stop along West Third Street, Lock Haven, state police at Lamar said. On Aug. 9 at about 8:16 p.m., troopers were called to the area of 710 W. Third St. for reports of an erratic driver, police said.
