We start our morning with good intentions to have our devotional or quiet time with the Lord, and then somehow, the day slips away before we ever get around to it. We promise ourselves we’ll make time to pray before bed, but then exhaustion or sleepiness overtakes us, and soon we’re sound asleep. Satan doesn’t want us praying and listening to our Father in Heaven, so he will use his emissaries to intervene, interfere, or interrupt our conversations with the Lord. A wish for peace on earth this Veterans Day

This weekend we honor those who have served in the armed forces making it possible for us to live in peace and freedom. We owe them a debt of gratitude. St. Mark Lutheran to hold prevention programs for those 60 and older on Nov. 20

HOWARD — St. Mark Lutheran Church, 850 Snydertown Road, Howard, is partnering with Centre Safe in launching a multi-year sexual assault prevention curriculum aimed at educating and supporting members of the 60-plus age community, along with caregivers, staff and volunteers of entities working with older adults.
