JILL KEEFER

Jill D. Hasson Keefer, 78, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in Lafayette Manor.

She was born March 11, 1947, in Finlay, Ohio, daughter of the late Russel W. Hasson and Ruth L. Williamson Hasson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Beth Myers; a son, James William Myer; and a sister, Pat Hasson.

Jill was a 1965 graduate of South Union High School, received her BS degree in Education from California State College and a Masters degree in Reading from Penn State University. She taught for 25 years in the Keystone Central School District. She was a member of the N.E.A., P.S.E.A. and the Great Bethel Baptist Church.

Jill enjoyed hosting friends and family, motorcycle rides, camping in Idaho and teaching Sunday School. Jill loved country music and dogs.

Left to cherish Jill’s memory are sisters, Jane Biller, of Uniontown, Mary Larkin, of Hopwood, Pam Lechnar, and husband Dr. Michael Lechnar, of Selkirk, N.Y., and Jo Wellhofer, and husband David Wellhofer, of Wharton, Texas; caregiver and friend, Patty Swaney; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home & Crematories, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, Pa.

Per the family’s wishes the service will be private.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lafayette Manor and Dr. Conley and his staff for their excellent care of Jill.
