Janet Fetterolf
Janet Fetterolf
Janet Fetterolf, 93, of Bellefonte, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at Centre Care.
Born on Sept. 27, 1932, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Ellie Korman.
On March 6, 1953, she married her beloved husband, Stanley B. Fetterolf, who preceded her in death on March 4, 1991, after sharing 37 years of marriage together.
Janet is survived by her children, Ellen Rimmey (Alan), William Fetterolf and Wade Fetterolf (Brandy); five grandchildren, Holly Williams (Eric), Troy Rimmey (Heather), Chad Rimmey (Lindsey), Heidi Mingle (Toby) and Tanner Fetterolf (Kasey); and 10 great-grandchildren, Haylie, Peyton, Kendall, Piper and Quinn Rimmey, Logan and Makenna Williams, Paisun and Kohin Wilt and Harper Fetterolf.
Also surviving is a brother, Gerald Korman (Margie); two sisters, Mary Dunkle (Don) and Shirley Brungart; a sister-in-law, Kay Schultz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Janet was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Fetterolf; a daughter, Debbie; and three brothers.
Janet was a farmer’s wife. God said, “I need someone willing to wake up early and work alongside the farmer. I need someone with arms strong enough to feed the livestock and gentle enough to raise young children. I need someone to gather supplies, help in the fields, prepare meals, tidy the house and preserve fruits and vegetables.”
Janet was all of these things. She adored hosting the 4th of July picnics, being outside, mowing the lawn and canning. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family – kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. “Come back when you can, I love you, too!” she always said, while waving goodbye.
Janet was a life member of Logan Grange in Pleasant Gap.
