HOUSER — Gladys Houser, 89, died March 29, 2026. Family and friends will be received today from 10-11 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 W. Bishop St., Bellefonte. Funeral mass will begin at 11 a.m. at the church. Graveside services will immediately follow at Centre County Memorial Park in State College, Pa.

HILL — Sandra Hill, 83, of State College, died March 26, 2026. A visitation will take place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. today at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College. The funeral service will follow at 10 a.m.

BLOOM — Lucy A. Bloom, 79, of Jersey Shore, died March 25, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6001 Jacks Hollow Road, Williamsport, Pa. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

WAGNER — Fronie I. (Mesmer) Wagner, 98, of Mill Hall, died on March 26, 2026. Graveside funeral services will take place on Monday, April 6, at 11 a.m., at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Loganton.

WILLIAMS — Mary Ruth Williams, 71, of Lock Haven, died March 5, 2026. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 9, at 11 a.m., at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, with Rev. Joseph Orr officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the memorial service. Interment will be at Dunnstown Cemetery.

MONKS — Elzner Claire Monks, 83, of Jersey Shore, Pa., died Jan. 30, 2026. Elzner loved a good party, and the family will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 25, from 12-4 p.m., at the Moose in Jersey Shore. In his honor, the family will be having Karaoke.

STROUSE — Millie Strouse, 74, of Monument, died Feb. 16, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, at Friendship Community Center, 127 Main St., Beech Creek. All family and friends are welcome.

WELSHANS — Gertrude M. “Trudy” Welshans, 100, of Jersey Shore, died March 11, 2026.

Services are being planned and will be announced once completed.

HERRITT — Jacqueline L. Herritt, 63, of Lock Haven, died March 14, 2026. A Celebration of Life service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.

COVEY — Tracy J. Covey, 63, of Williamsport, died March 20, 2026. A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.

KLOBE — Charles L. Klobe, Jr., 94, of Beech Creek and Mill Hall, died March 21, 2026. A Celebration of Life service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.

SCHARDER — Carl “Neil” Scharder, 83, of Lock Haven, died March 6, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Scharder Farm in Caldwell on May 16, from 1-5 p.m. Please share a story and a beverage with the family. The dress code is casual.

SHAFFER — Donald L. Shaffer, 81, of Howard, died March 9, 2026. 4135 Jacksonville Road, Howard. A Celebration of Life service is being planned for Sunday, May 31, at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 4135 Jacksonville Road, Howard. The time will be announced later.

McCUNE — Paul O. McCune, 98, of Wellsboro, and formerly of Mill Hall, Pa., died Jan. 22, 2026. A memorial graveside service will be held on June 3, 2026, at 1 p.m., at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall, Pa.

TARR — Alice Tarr, aka Alice Hurley, Alice Davenport, Alice Shaffer or Alice of Young Woman’s Creek, 85, of North Bend, died March 17, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at North Bend Cemetery on Saturday, June 13, beginning at 1 p.m.

HAHN — James F. Hahn, 84, of Pine Glen, died March 22, 2026. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on June 13, at 2 p.m., at the Snow Shoe VFW.
