The danger is real

Numerous individuals have issued warnings about the potential dangers of a second Donald Trump presidency. Members of the news media, political analysts, and even reasonable Republicans have all been predicting how our country and democracy, and indeed the world, could be irreparably damaged or destroyed should Trump regain the White House.
In a recent interview in TIME magazine, the presumptive Republican nominee clearly spelled out many of his plans for a second term. Trump’s planned actions include:
— Establishing detention camps and initiating mass deportations of more than 11 million alleged illegal immigrants.
— Pardoning the more than 800 individuals who attacked and pleaded guilty or were convicted of insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.
— Allowing states to monitor and punish pregnant women to ensure they comply with abortion bans.
— Firing U.S. attorneys who refuse to prosecute individuals targeted for retribution by Trump.
— Firing thousands of qualified civil servants and replacing them with acolytes based solely on their loyalty to Trump.
— Abandoning NATO and South Asian allies that he believes are not paying enough for their own defense.
Many other detailed plans and actions for a second Trump (or any other Republican) presidency have been compiled and published by the ultraconservative Heritage Foundation in the Project 2025 Mandate for Leadership, www.project2025.org.
Every American, regardless of political philosophy or party affiliation, should take the 26 minutes needed to read the TIME interview and then decide if that is the future you want for yourself and your descendants.
