Lock Haven

Kudos to Lock Haven city council for facilitating the upgrade of the Taggart Park baseball field along Park Street and naming the diamond after a long time area youth and high school baseball supporter, John Lipez.

As Mayor Long stated, “John Lipez has been this generation’s ultimate “voice” of youth and high school athletics.”

Broadcasting athletic events is a labor of love for John, and he is unmatched in his style and presentation. Listening to John describe a youth baseball playoff game, and the listener might think it was the seventh game of the World Series.

It is truly appropriate that the name John Lipez is associated with a Lock Haven youth baseball field for years to come.
