No. 14 LHU women’s wrestling wraps up at National Duals

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The No. 14 Lock Haven women’s wrestling wrapped up a two-day run at the 2025 NWCA/USMC Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships on Saturday.

Lock Haven went 2-0 picking up victories over Wisconsin Stevens Point and Adrian College.

The Bald Eagles started the day by downing No. 17 Wisconsin Stevens Point, 25-21. Down 14-0 after three bouts, Lock Haven won six of the seven remaining bouts for the victory.

Isabella DeVito (124), Lily Sherer (131), and Avry Ryhal (160) all picked up wins by pin for Lock Haven. Paige Jackson and Lindsay Laws won by decision. Jackson defeated Cadie Percy 8-4 at 145. At 180, Laws topped Tabitha Breitrick 7-3.

With the match tied 21-21, Nationally ranked – No. 3 – Alyssa Favara (207) soared passed Jade Herzer by way of tech fall, 11-0.

In the second match of the day, Lock Haven topped Adrian 38-10.

Jackson and Ryhal picked up wins by way of tech fall.

Jayleah Pletz, and Mackenzie DelVecchio earned victories by pin at 117 and 124, respectively. Pletz needed just 49 seconds to defeat Sharla Juhas. DelVecchio downed Sophia Renteria in 2:16.
