Shore boys, girls track teams see success in dual with Williamsport

Jersey Shore’s Zack Kendall had an outstanding performance in a dual meet performance at home against Williamsport in boys and girls track and field competition. The team score for both boys and girls meets weren’t available.

Kendall won three individual events to lead the Bulldogs. The Bulldog won the 110 hurdles event with a time of 18.40, winning by more than a second. In the 300 hurdles, Kendall ran a time of 41.90 to win by two and a half seconds and then ran a 24.10 to win the 20 in a close race by 0.20 seconds over Williamsport’s Nathaniel Woods.

Williamsport had a two-event winner in Cordoza Minor. The Millionaire won the shot put thanks to a throw of 46 feet, 7 inches and also claimed a victory in the discus by throwing 112-10, winning by roughly seven feet.

Williamsport’s Brayden Ungard won the high jump with a height of 6-0 and was a second-place finisher in the 100 in 11.80 behind Nathaniel Woods of Williamsport (11.60). Ungard also took second in the long jump (18-5 1/2) as teammate Aiden Everett won (19-2 3/4).

Jersey Shore’s Brady Allison won the 1,600 with a time of 5:10.00 and Williamsport’s Noah Baird won the 3,200 in 11:16.90.

Williamsport’s Alex Takach won the 400 in 55.80, beating out teammate Peter Fisher by just 0.10 seconds in a close race down to the wire. Fisher won the 800 in 2:22.40.

In girls competition, Williamsport’s Aubrey Phillips-Cobb and Isabelle Morrow ere both two-event winners, claiming victories in the 100 and 300 hurdles. In the 100, Phillips-Cobb ran a time of 13.60 to win by 0.60 seconds and won the 300 hurdles with a time of 51.50. Her 300 hurdles time gave her a win by nearly two seconds.

Morrow claimed a victory in the high jump with a height of 5-2 and took first in the long jump with a leap of 15-10 1/4. Morrow also was a second-place finisher in the triple jump with a distance of 28-8 3/4 behind Williamsport’s Ayanna Barbee (30-1 1/2).

Jersey Shore’s Aaralynn Kimble won the 200 in 27.80 and took second in the 300 hurdles in 51.50.

Williamsport’s Geiani Whaley won the 400 with a time of 1:02.90, winning by roughly three seconds. Peyton Dincher of Jersey Shore claimed a victory in the 800 in 2:43.70, winning by nearly three seconds.

Williamsport’s Isabelle Sanders won the 3,200 by running an 11:25.90 beating out Madeline Sanders by 10 seconds. In the 1,600, Williamsport’s Clara Wade won with a time of 6:12.00.

Jersey Shore’s Nina Steppe threw the shot put 33-1 and won by just more than a foot.

Jersey Shore saw Olivia Spotts claim two victories against Williamsport. Spotts won the javelin with a throw of 115-10 as Williamsport’s Dayanna Baines took second (103-0). In the discus, Spotts won with a throw of 97-10 1/2, winning with a throw by roughly 10 feet over teammate Alison Bilbay.
