TIM WEIGHT/For the Express Central Mountain's Gabby Beaubrun (11) celebrates with teammates Lily Downing (21) and Chloe Confer (3) during the District 6 Class AAA championship against Hollidaysburg on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at Bald Eagle Area. All three made the PHAC All-Conference team, with Beaubrun being named Co-Player of the Year.
On Wednesday, the PHAC (Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference) Coaches Association released its All-Conference team for this year’s volleyball season. With Central Mountain winning this year’s PHAC league title, it’s no surprise that the Wildcats were well-represented on the team, as four earned all-conference honors and senior outside hitter Gabby Beaubrun was named Co-Player of the Year.
Beaubrun was the lone Wildcat on the first team, with senior middle hitter Lily Downing, junior setter Chloe Confer and freshman outside hitter Sofia Kelly earning second-team honors. Despite its league dominance, Central Mountain finished tied for second in first teamers and tied for first in representatives.
Beaubrun was a force both on and off the court throughout her senior campaign, consistently operating as a spark plug for Central Mountain’s offense with emphatic kills while also serving as a strong leader for the team. She was often at the fore front of the team’s communication on the court, playing a big role in a successful campaign.
“I want to thank Gabby. She’s been quite the leader for this team,” said teammate Kylie Rauch on the senior’s impact.
“Last year, I had this crazy idea to bring up a pregame prayer, really just bring us all together and give God the glory for what we do. She went right ahead, stepped up and led that, and it’s just been really special.”

Alongside Beaubrun, Downing, Confer and Kelly each made a considerable impact as well. Downing was a block machine at middle, Confer served as the team’s primary server while Sophia Hardy was out with injury and as a freshman, Kelly more than left her mark at outside hitter.
The Wildcats finished their 2025 campaign with a 14-2 record, as District 6 Class AAA runners-up and Heartland champions. Outside of all-conference players, it was also announced that the league will be adding two new members in Selinsgrove and Montoursville.
