Gilfoil leads Lock Haven women’s wrestling at Adrian Open

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Lock Haven women’s wrestling team traveled to Adrian, Michigan, for the Adrian Open. It was a large and competitive field with 40 teams across all NCAA divisions competing on Sunday. The Bald Eagles were led by some strong freshmen performances.

Lock Haven’s strongest performance came from Charlotte Gilfoil, who placed sixth by going 4-3, with three pins and a tech fall in the 138A weight class. Raegan Snider (160A) had a successful day, finishing 3-2 with a tech fall and two wins by decision.

Taylor Aiello (145B) was impressive by picking up two tech falls and a pin. Lydia Knarr (131B) scored a pin, a tech fall and a decision. Anna Kalcich (131B) notched a tech fall and a decision.

Azariah Moore (180A), Isabella DeVito (131A), Jayleah Platz (124A), Presley McCandlish (160A), Anna Lackey (110B) and Rachel Plata Arce (131C) all picked up a win for Lock Haven.

Next up, the Lock Haven women’s wrestling team will head to Collegeville for a dual meet against Ursinus on Thursday at 7 p.m. The Bald Eagles will be at home for the time this season on Sunday when they host Lehigh at the Thomas Field House at 2 p.m.
