LHU women’s wrestling competes in Gator ‘Boots’ Duals
The Lock Haven women’s wrestling team traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, to compete in the Gator ‘Boots’ Duals on Friday night The Bald Eagles finished the day 2-2. Lock Haven moves to 8-5 in dual action.
The Bald Eagles started their day by taking down Randolph (36-11).
Lock Haven followed up its dominant performance by picking up a 37-11 victory over UW-Oshkosh. The Bald Eagles fell to No. 16 Simpson (26-16) and No.8 Emmanuel (26-16).
Azariah Moore (180) went a perfect 4-0 on the day with four tech falls. Moore extends her win streak to 13 matches and improved her dual record to 13-0 on the season.
Lindsay Laws (207) was also perfect on the day, going 3-0 with a pin and two decisions. Journie Rodriguez (117) and Charlotte Gilfoil (138) had impressive days. The freshman duo both went 3-1 on the day, each picking up two pins and a tech fall.
Presley McCandlish (160) went 2-1 with two pins and a forfeit. Marissa Rumsey (145) also picked up two pins for the Bald Eagles. Trinity Monoghan (207) picked up a pin in her only dual action and picked up two pins in the extra matches, finishing 3-0.
