In terms of team scores, the Penns Valley boys fell to Forest Hills (119-31) and Hollidaysburg (124-25) but defeated Greater Johnstown (88-51). The girls saw similar results, falling to Forest Hills (128-22) and Hollidaysburg (109-39) but beating Greater Johnstown (96-39).

On the boys side, Noah Patel earned the top placement for the Rams, taking second in the high jump with a mark of 6-2. He also placed sixth in the 100 with a 12.10.

Taven Price secured multiple top four place finishes, tying for third in the pole vault (8-0) and taking fourth in the 1,600 (5:01.50). Freshman Jase Hubler took home two top five finishes, tying for third in the 110-meter hurdles (19.80) and placing fifth in the 300 (50.80).

Owen Robb was a throws standout for the Rams, placing top eight in all three throws with his highest placement being fourth in javelin (109-5). And Finn Quigley saw success in jumps, taking fifth in triple (36-1 1/2) and sixth in long (16-4 1/2).

On the girls side, Penns Valley was headlined by Elizabeth Romig, Lillyana Smith and Miley Hubler, who earned second-place finishes in the 200, 1,600 and 100-meter hurdles respectively. Smith and Hubler each added second placements as well, with Hubler taking third in the high jump (5-0) and Smith placing fourth in the 800 (2:39.50).

Sophomore Emma Bagrowski posted two top five finishes in jump, taking fourth in the triple (30-10) and fifth in the long (13-7 1/4). Brianna Porter finished fourth in javelin (90-5) and seventh in shot put (24-11).

The Penns Valley track and field team returns to action next Tuesday, April 7, where it’ll travel to Clearfield to face the Bison and Huntingdon in a tri meet. That meet is set to begin at 4 p.m.
