Weaver’s clutch home run in 9th propels Central Mountain past Danville
With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning of a tied ball game, Camdyn Weaver of Central Mountain came up with a clutch home run to propel the Wildcats to a thrilling 5-4 win over Danville in softball action.
Weaver’s solo home run was the lone extra-base hit for Central Mountain in the win. Weaver ended her day 2 for 3 wtih two RBIs and two runs scored, Cirstyn Watson was 2 for 5 with a run scored and Mallory Wunder went 1 for 3 with two RBIs and a run scored.
Weaverthrew the complete game and earned the win, limiting Danville to seven hits.
