Weaver’s clutch home run in 9th propels Central Mountain past Danville

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning of a tied ball game, Camdyn Weaver of Central Mountain came up with a clutch home run to propel the Wildcats to a thrilling 5-4 win over Danville in softball action. Weaver’s solo home run was the lone extra-base hit for Central Mountain in the win. Weaver ended her day 2 for 3 wtih two RBIs and two runs scored, Cirstyn Watson was 2 for 5 with a run scored and Mallory Wunder went 1 for 3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Bellefonte softball falls to Hollidaysburg in thriller, as late rally is rendered moot

HOLLIDAYSBURG - Despite a strong, four-run surge in the game's final inning, the Bellefonte softball team wasn't able to carry that momentum into a win. Hollidaysburg responded with one run to break the tie, walking it off to defeat the Red Raiders in front of its home crowd, 8-7. Two Red Raiders in Peyton Rimmey and Ella Herr managed to belt a ball over the wall for a homer, with Rimmey leading the team in RBIs with four while finished 2-for-4. Lock Haven baseball falls to Kutztown, 8-7, late in back-and-forth thriller

The Lock Haven baseball team hosted Kutztown in a nine-inning non-conference contest Wednesday and were edged late, 8-7. Lock Haven was led on offense by Cayde McCloskey, who totaled four base knocks and driving in five runs. The game featured five lead changes between both teams.
