Arriving at Williamsport High School on Wednesday, Jersey Shore freshman Emily Shemory had one goal in mind: reach the podium. The Bulldog wanted to be a top-4 finisher on Wednesday when she swam the 50 free. She was a tad nervous going in being a ninth grader and having four seniors and a junior in her heat, but Shemory had confidence. And in the end, it resulted with a fourth-place medal.
