Lock Haven women secure PSAC East win on road at West Chester

WEST CHESTER — The Lock Haven women’s basketball team traveled to West Chester to face the Golden Rams in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East contest. Strong first and fourth quarters propelled the Bald Eagles to a 65-53 victory. Lock Haven, which is a perfect 14-0 vs. Eastern Division foes, improved to 20-5 overall and 16-3 in the PSAC. LHU men’s basketball loses to West Chester on the road

WEST CHESTER — The Lock Haven men’s basketball team traveled to West Chester on Saturday and fell to the Golden Rams, 89-67, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East matchup. Lock Haven falls to 9-17 and 5-14 in PSAC East play. West Chester improves to 20-6 and 14-5 in conference play. The Bald Eagles were led by Blake Deegan’s 16 points and his three made triples. Jersey Shore hopes for a few medalists at District 4 championships

Jersey Shore has a handful of wrestlers competing in the Class AAA field that are eyeing top podium spots and berths to the Northeast Class AAA Regional tournament. That includes standouts Gabe Fisher, Louden Spotts, Tobias Morgret and Jon Dincher. Seven set for HOF induction at District 4 wrestling championships

One week after welcoming its first female member, the District 4 Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame will add seven more inductees before the finals of the District 4 wrestling tournament on Saturday evening at Williamsport High School. Kimberly Spiegel, a Selinsgrove graduate, was inducted into the Hall of Fame before the finals of the girls tournament last weekend. KENT, Ohio – No. 24 Wyatt Henson became the third Lock Haven men’s wrestler to reach 100-career victories this season during the Bald Eagles 37-3 Mid-American Conference victory at Kent State on Thursday night. With the win, Lock Haven (13-4) wrapped up its MAC schedule with a 6-1 record to secure second place in the East for the regular season.
