Sixteen NLWC/PSU RTC athletes set for US Open in wrestling

STATE COLLEGE — The Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team, the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club and the Penn State Regional Training Center will be well represented at the 2026 U.S. Open in Las Vegas this weekend. Sixteen wrestlers will compete in the senior freestyle and three will compete in the U20 bracket. The freestyle portion of the event runs Friday through Sunday. On the senior freestyle side of things, Luke Lilledahl will be the No. 2 seed at 57 kilograms. Marcus Blaze is the No. 3 seed at 61 kilograms. Bucktail keeping its opponents off of the scoreboard has now grown to four games, as their 12-0 win over Sullivan County (6-5) is their fourth consecutive shutout, outscoring their opponents 59-0 in that span. INDIANA - The Lock Haven lacrosse team built an early lead on the road, but Indiana (Pa.) used a 5-1 advantage in the second period to edge out the Bald Eagles, 13-10, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division battle on Wednesday. With the result, Lock Haven is now 9-6 on the season and 5-4 in the PSAC West. Entering Wednesday, the Bald Eagles had won five straight games dating back to April 4.
