Williamsport's boys tennis team traveled to Central Mountain and picked up its second win of the year with an exciting 3-2 victory against the Wildcats in a league matchup. Williamsport saw two matches go three sets. At No. 2 doubles, Richard Chen and Mason Robinson beat Mason Temple and Gavin Edmonston, 6-3, 5-7, 7-5. BELLEFONTE - Opening their week in style. The Bellefonte track and field team got its week jumpstarted Tuesday as they hosted Central Cambria, Central and Penn Cambria. Both boys and girls had strong showings in the relay events. The girls took care of the 3,200-meter relay. The team consisting of Althea Helms, Madyson Miller, Natalie Jolley and Addison Fry topped out with a winning time of 9:48.79. Bellefonte beat Tyrone, 3-1, in a close game in softball competition on Monday. The Red Raiders and Tyrone were tied 1-1 after three innings before Bellefonte took the lead with a run in the top of the fourth. Bellefonte then scored its final run in the seventh. Adrienne Masullo threw five innings for the Red Raiders, limiting Tyrone to one run, with seven strikeouts and four walks allowed.
