The Lock Haven women’s basketball team used a dominant effort on the glass to pick up a 70-56 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East win in Thomas Fieldhouse over Bloomsburg on Monday. The Bald Eagles are arguably off to their hottest start in their PSAC East competing history and continued to roll on Monday night by improving to 9-0 in the division after taking down Bloomsburg. UNIVERSITY PARK – Penn State rookie guard Kayden Mingo scored on a game-winning left-handed scoop shot with one second left to play to lift the Penn State men’s basketball team to a gutsy 77-75 win over Minnesota Sunday afternoon inside the Bryce Jordan Center. Jersey Shore's Isabella Gottschall continued her solid season with a gold medal at 155 pounds at the Williamsport Showcase at the Magic Dome on Saturday. She was the Bulldogs' only medalist. Gottschall needed just 70 seconds to pin Bailee Scott of Bellefonte in the final. The win moved Gottschall, a junior, to 20-2. Central Mountain's Kendall Wagner finished as a runner-up at 170 and teammate Ashlyn Miller took third at 190. The Jersey Shore girls produced their most impressive win this season, handing Shikellamy its first league loss in nine games and scoring 27 fourth quarter points in a 61-49 victory.
