PHOTO PROVIDED

On Jan. 8, Bill and Sharon Wagner of Avis won their 11th annual blue ribbon while competing in the Square Dance Competition at the Farm Show in Harrisburg. They are the fifth and sixth dancers from left. They have been Modern Western square dancers for 28 years and have competed at the Farm Show for 12 years, also once winning a red ribbon. They share that square dancing is “great fun,” and a “good family activity for all ages.” Good examples of this are 81-year-old Bill Brown and his 11-year-old granddaughter, Erin Hess of Milton, the third and fourth dancers from left. This was Erin’s first Farm Show competition. Others in the photo are, from left, Barb Blakely and Mike Shultheis. at far right are Judy Allen and Joe Steiner. They are all from the Selinsgrove area.
