One vehicle crash LOCK HAVEN — On Sept. 27, on Farrandsville Road at Brewery Hollow Road at approximately 8 p.m. Woodward Township Police investigated a one vehicle crash. According to police, a 2006 Honda Civic was westbound on Farrandsville Road when it left the roadway at a curve, striking a rock wall and spun around to the opposite side of the roadway. The driver, 18-year-old Ashleigh Aukerman, of Bellefonte, and her passenger, 18-year-old Keilee Lebouef, of Loganton, were wearing their seatbelts, according to police. JSASD agrees to settle racial harassment suit for $50K

JERSEY SHORE — A $50,000 settlement has been approved in a civil rights suit in which a former Jersey Shore Area School District student complained of racial harassment. The approval Monday by U.S. Middle District Magistrate Judge William I. Arbuckle resolves the complaint filed in 2022 by the parents of a biracial student who is now 17. Jenna Swisher and Reginald Gallman attributed the racial harassment and bullying to which their daughter was subjected as the reason she was withdrawn from the district.
