Outdoor movie night BEECH CREEK — The Beech Creek Wesleyan Church is hosting an Outdoor Movie Night on Friday, Aug. 25, at 8:30 p.m. Church members will be watching “His Only Son,” a movie about Abraham being commanded by God to sacrifice his son and finds his faith tested during his three-day journey. STOCKHOLM — Sweden raised its terror alert to the second-highest level on Thursday after a string of public desecrations of the Quran sparked angry demonstrations across Muslim countries and threats from militant groups. Labor Day Picnic WILLIAMSPORT — The parishioners of Immaculate Conception Parish invite you to their annual country style ham and turkey picnic dinner. In addition to the dinner, french fries, funnel cakes, sausage sandwiches, soda and ice cream will be available on the grounds, as well as a few small games of chance and Bingo! A variety of homemade jams, jellies and fudge will be for sale in the summer kitchen.
