Regional American Legion Auxiliary members convene for council

Department of Pennsylvania’s American Legion Auxiliary’s Centre, Lycoming and Clinton Counties Council was hosted by Roland Ritter American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Unit #268 of Muncy. ALA members from Garrett Cochran American Legion Auxiliary Unit #001-Williamsport, Glenn Sharrow ALA Unit #035-Hughesville, George W. Pepperman ALA Unit #036-Jersey Shore, Eugene Grafius ALA Unit #104-Montoursville, William Marshall Crawford ALA Unit #131-Lock Haven, Bower Decker ALA Unit #251-Montgomery, Roland Ritter ALA Unit #268-Muncy, Martin May ALA Unit #284-Avis, Keystone ALA Unit #444-Millheim, Royal P. Steinbacher ALA Unit #617-South Williamsport, Bitner-Bechdel ALA Unit #623-Beech Creek, Houtz-Meyers-Rose ALA Unit #867-Pleasant Gap and Mumpher-Shawley ALA Unit #893-Milesburg were in attendance. These ladies are part of the largest Veterans Service Organization (VSO) in the world. Their mission being in the spirit of “Service, Not Self,” the mission of the ALA is to support the American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve and have served, by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, they advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security. They are part of the Department of Pennsylvania’s American Legion Auxiliary, which is the largest American Legion Auxiliary in the world. The next ALA’s Centre, Lycoming and Clinton Council meeting will be hosted by Houtz-Meyers-Rose ALA Unit #867-Pleasant Gap, on June 11, 2025 at the Houtz-Meyers-Rose American Legion in Pleasant Gap.
