LOCK HAVEN — The Sons of Italy donated $500 to Toys for Tots, marking the organization’s largest contribution to the program to date. Trustee Ken Fisher said the group has supported Toys for Tots for several years but was especially pleased to give more this year amid rising toy costs.

The Sons of Italy, located at 1 N. Henderson St. in Lock Haven, regularly supports children’s organizations and other local causes, including homeless shelters and fire companies, often through proceeds from spaghetti dinners it hosts.

Fisher presented the check on behalf of the organization to WSQV Radio’s Mark The Shark Toy Drive on Wednesday morning, Dec. 17.

The toy drive is now in its 32nd year and going strong. Schlesinger told The Express he hopes to help 1,000 kids across the area with the donations.

Starting at $3.69/week.
