Applications being accepted for Camp Cadet

LOCK HAVEN — Applications for boys and girls programs of Clinton County Police Camp Cadet are now being accepting. We are accepting applications for the boys and girls program.

The camp is held at Lock Haven University’s Sieg Conference Center, which is located three and a half miles south, off of Route 64, on Route 2002 in Porter Township.

The program is designed to bring a better understanding between the youth of Clinton County and its law enforcement officials. The goal of Camp Cadet is to provide an enjoyable experience that will be remembered by all cadets who attend and to create a lasting impression that police officers are their friends.

Emphasis is placed on self-discipline, in an effort to encourage some form of regimentation in the personal lives of the cadets, similar to the atmosphere of a Police Academy.

Camp staff is in the process of visiting all schools in the county.

Camp Cadet is established for boys and girls, ages 11 through 14, who reside in Clinton County, or who attend any Clinton County school. The cost to attend this program is $20.

To keep up with the strenuous daily schedule of events the applicants should be in good physical condition.

The girls Camp Cadet program is being held on June 15 thru June 20, 2020. The boys Camp Cadet program is being held on June 22 thru June 27, 2020.This is an overnight camp.
