FLEMINGTON — On Wednesday, Feb. 25, the Lock Haven Christian Women’s Connection will enjoy the Happy New Year Surprise luncheon.

The lunch and program will be held at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Allison Township.

There is always good food, lots of fun, door prizes, music from gifted vocalists and inspiring speakers that help inform and encourage ladies to make a memorable day.

The theme of February’s lunch is “the mail lady is coming.”

The special feature for the luncheon is “thoughtful surprises,” featuring Monica Long.

Monica will display ways to show thoughtfulness through items for her shop in Mill Hall, Flowers by Monica.

The special music guests are most often soloists who are well known in the area and thoroughly enjoyed by local audiences.

February’s music guest will present surprising tunes and will be outstanding area performer Elaine Barth.

The guest speaker will also be a thoughtful surprise.

The program begins at 11:50 a.m., and the cost of $17 per person includes lunch, entertainment, inspirational speaker and free parking.

All area women are invited. This location allows for on-site childcare for young mothers. Nursery reservations must be made at the time that luncheon reservations are made.

Mothers are asked to bring a lunch or snack for the child.

This is a perfectly good time to meet new friends and catch up with longtime friends!

The luncheon is a warm and welcoming way to renew and refresh.

The group is requesting that all who plan to attend make reservations.

Dates for the luncheons throughout the rest of the year are: April 22, June 24, Sept. 9, Oct. 28 and Dec. 9.
