Robb Elementary celebrates Read Across America Week

PHOTOS PROVIDED

Robb Elementary recently celebrated Read Across America Week by coming together as a school community to read “8 Class Pets + 1 Squirrel ÷ 1 Dog = CHAOS!” as part of its One School, One Book initiative. Each day, a chapter of the book was read aloud by staff members who were creatively “disguised” behind decorated boxes designed to resemble characters from the story. Students were invited to guess the identity of each reader and then viewed a daily reveal video to discover who had presented that chapter. Daily winners were selected for the opportunity to receive gift cards to local businesses. The staffulty and students of Robb Elementary extend their sincere appreciation to members of the Lock Haven Kiwanis and the Lamar State Police Barracks for generously volunteering their time as guest readers in classrooms throughout the week. The school also thanks Beiter’s of Lock Haven and Kliney’s Home Furnishings for their donations of cardboard boxes used to create the character displays.

Starting at $3.69/week.
