Monday, July 20: — Howard Area Lions Food Bank distribution, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the former Beech Creek Elementary School. Bring a sturdy box and any empty egg cartons you have. Volunteers are asked to help with filling boxes in the basement and getting them up the steps to cars. — Drawing class at Friendship Community Center in Beech Creek. Covenant Cafe to meet July 21

LOCK HAVEN — The Covenant Cafe, an activity group for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, will be meeting on Tuesday, July 21, from 1-3 p.m., at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Lou Bernard, a local historian, will start the session with a talk on what was happening in our local area 250 years ago in 1776 during the birth of our Nation.
