MILL HALL — The Bald Eagle Supervisors started the year with a reorganization meeting where they nominated and elected members to their respective positions and discussed future plans for 2026.
Winning another term following the 2025 November election was Steve Tasselli who was nominated as chairman for the upcoming year.
The position of vice chairman will be filled by Kenny McGee, Secretary/Treasurer will be filled by Marissa Morgan and Assistant Treasurer/Secretary will be filled by Shawn Adrian for 2026.
Full-time and part-time employees for the township will remain the same for 2026 except for township tax collector, which was previously held by Kim Phillips.
“The county has notified us that there is a vacancy as Kim Phillips did not renew her current re-elected term,” said Morgan. “In the absence of a tax collector, we can have the county collect the tax, the same 5 percent fee with that, we just need to pass a resolution on that.”
Resolution 2026-01 regarding the county collecting taxes was passed by the supervisors and signed at the meeting.
Following their discussion on reorganization, the supervisors then moved their focus to additional matters such as employee raise schedule, retaining at least up to 6 percent for the year.
Morgan shared the list of primary donations as followed:
— Ross Library, $1,100
— Clinton County SPCA, $425
— Salvation Army, $375
— Millbrook Playhouse, $1,000
— Cleanscapes, $1,000
— Mill Hall Volunteer Fire Co., $9,000; per the agreement discussed in previous meetings
— Goodwill Hose Fire Co., $1,000
— Goodwill Hose Ambulance Co., $2,000
— Lock Haven EMS, $1,000
— Beech Creek/Blanchard Fire Co., $500
— Lock Haven Citizen’s, $3,000
In response to the donations, Adrian brought up changing the donation amount to the SPCA.
“The SPCA should get more money than the Ross Library,” said Adrian.
Discussion between the supervisors focused on the funds that are coming in from other sources for the shelter and the library, on top of the funds provided annually by the township, resulting in the supervisors choosing to keep donation amounts the same for this year.
Road projects were discussed as their final order of business. At this time plans and bids have not been put out.
In closing, Tasselli offered a positive outlook toward the new year.
“I hope that we can continue to try to work together and have our residents at the first and foremost in our minds in every decision we make, and that we try to come together as a team and work together, communicate and have a good environment for everybody,” said Tasselli. “We have a good team here, we have a lot of knowledge, a lot of good history, and I think that we need to get back on track, making sure everything moves forward.”
